To provide those in need with emergency food by working together with community members, leaders, and local businesses and organizations to gather, store, and distribute goods; to offer compassionate help as we respect the dignity of each person we serve; and to inform and educate our community about the issue of hunger in the Town of Wilton, NY
“In a 2 hour period today (Sat. 11/23) neighbors came together to nourish each other. 70 families left our doors with complete Thanksgiving meals; 21 families went through the Pantry for regular service – in 2 hours time! Obviously making this possible required many more hours, but in these 2 particular hours, our community, the giving & the receiving, caused Wilton as a Community to shine. As neighbors, we are extended family, that is the foundation of it all. A 100% volunteer Food Pantry, volunteers (experienced & new), food drives & donations, grateful neighbors accepting what we offer, a humbling on both sides of the coin – this means the world to me. The true Spirit of the holiday season has found my heart. I offer my Thanks for giving me this gift of true Community”. - Dennis Towers (WFP Board Member/ Neighbor).
